A heartwarming moment where a picture would save that special memory of the event.
It was sarcasm for not wanting to get or feel all mushy and emotional right then!
But the term, "A Kodak moment" means to save a moment of life on film for posterity, (or memory/keepsakes). Like a baby picture that is soooo cute!
Hope this helps!

The term "Kodak Moment" came about from an ad campaign from the Kodak Company during the 1970's and has become an expression of slang in modern times.

Eastman Kodak Company founded in 1888, is an American multinational public company which has been long known for its wide range of photographic film products.
The phrase "Kodak moment" originated in Kodak commercials, meaning something so picturesque or depicting something so sentimental that a picture should be taken to preserve the moment.

It means a sentimental moment. Kodak is a camera/film brand, so it's like a moment that's worth remembering, like a picture.

It is like one of those sayings, "Head over hill" or "Keeping up with the Jone's"
What it is trying to say is that a what you see in a picture is what you get. So if it is a picture of a party, everyone is happy. Thora Birch said this to her mom, when her mom went to apologize for what happened at dinner. She was being sympathetic, and Thora plain out said, I don't want pity from you. I don't care if it isn't perfect. I hope I explained it in a good way. :)
