Have at it, these are the best of modern & ancient quotes.

So let's look at the bird and see what it's doing -- that's what counts. I learned very early the difference between knowing the name of something and knowing something.

Richard Feynman

*Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information on it.

Haha, oh that number 6 is incredibly relevant, more than most people might think. Number 1, ehh... well I guess that's what happens when we live in a capitalist country, hmm? Number 2, no problems equal pure boredom. No problems equal a lack of intelligence. No problems equal a halt in mankind's advancement. The rest of them are nice, but they just kind of bore me.

"We learn more by looking for the answer to a question and not finding it than we do from learning the answer itself.”--Lloyd Alexander

"Nothing that is worth knowing can be taught"--Oscar Wilde

Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn.”--Benjamin Frankling

"I'm learning all the time. The tombstone will be my diploma"--Eartha Kitt

“I've been making a list of the things they don't teach you at school. They don't teach you how to love somebody. They don't teach you how to be famous. They don't teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don't teach you how to walk away from someone you don't love any longer. They don't teach you how to know what's going on in someone else's mind. They don't teach you what to say to someone who's dying. They don't teach you anything worth knowing.”--Neil Gaiman

“The best thing for being sad,” replied Merlyn, beginning to puff and blow, “is to learn something. That is the only thing that never fails. You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies, you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then — to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting.""--Theodore White

"When you know something, say what you know. When you don't know something, say that you don't know. That is knowledge." - Kung Fu Tzu (Confucius)

Nothing happens until I make it happen.

That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well.

People seldom see the halting and painful steps by which the most insignificant success is achieved.

The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work.

Ones best success comes after their greatest disappointments.

There is only one success - to be able to spend your life in your own way.

Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.

Just don't give up trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

Do a little more each day than you think you possibly can.

It takes 20 years to make an overnight success.

Success is getting what you want, and happiness is wanting what you get.

The first and most important step toward success is the feeling that we can succeed.

Ability is the art of getting credit for all the home runs somebody else hits.

Natural abilities are like natural plants; they need pruning by study.

It is a fine thing to have ability, but the ability to discover ability in others is the true test.

The world cares very little about what a man or woman knows; it is what a man or woman is able to do that counts.

We all have ability. The difference is how we use it.

Ability is a poor man's wealth.

If I accept you as you are, I will make you worse; however if I treat you as though you are what you are capable of becoming, I help you become that.

If we did the things we are capable of, we would astound ourselves.

Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.

You have to have confidence in your ability, and then be tough enough to follow through.

We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible.

Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream, not only plan, but also believe.

There are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened. We all have a choice. You can decide which type of person you want to be.

What you believe, you can achieve.

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.

Don't let what you can't do interfere with what you can do.

Never be satisfied with what you achieve, because it all pales in comparison with what you are capable of doing in the future.

All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get.

The future is not a gift - it is an achievement.

If life were measured by accomplishments, most of us would die in infancy.

There is no great achievement that is not the result of patient working and waiting.

Fate knows where you are going, but it is up to you to drive there.

Nothing happens until I make it happen.

Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions.

Just Do It!

Do or do not. There is no try.

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

Go for it now. The future is promised to no one.

Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action.

Commitment leads to action. Action brings your dream closer.

Good intentions are not good enough... ultimately we are measured by our actions.

Conditions are never just right. People who delay action until all factors are favourable do nothing.

Success seems to be connected to action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, bu they don't quit.

Your life will be no better than the plans you make and the action you take. You are the architect and builder of your own life, fortune, destiny.

The stories of past courage... can offer hope, they can provide inspiration. But they cannot supply courage itself. For this each man must look into his own soul.

Courage is resistance to fear; mastery of fear - not absence of fear.

We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face ... we must do that which we think we cannot.

The fact is, that to do anything in the world worth doing, we must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in and scramble through as well as we can.

In order to discover new lands, one must be willing to lose sight of the shore for a very long time.

He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.

You can't test courage cautiously.

I'd rather give my life than be afraid to give it.

There’s always a choice

The surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed.

If you really want something, you can figure out how to make it h

a good teacher is not someone who tells you what he/she knows. a wise teacher is one who leads you to the threshold of your own knowledge.
