I know I saw a quote by Tom Robbins saying something like 'the most etheral thing is a cold beer and a taco' and I'm pretty sure its from Jitterbug Perfume. Of course, I can't find the quote anywhere on the 'net and I don't feel like flipping through the entire book to find it again. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and can help?

I think this is the quote:

"To physically overcome death - is that not the goal? - we must think unthinkable thoughts and ask unanswerable questions. Yet we must not lose ourselves in abstract vapors of philosophy. Death has his concrete allies, we must enlist ours. Never underestimate how much assistance, how much satisfaction, how much comfort, how much soul and transcendence there might be in a well-made taco and a cold beer." --Tom Robbins

But I can't tell you what page.

Its not really a qoute but this poem, really made me think about the issue of racisim. I really like it No Difference by Shel Silverstein Small as a peanut Big as a giant, We're all the same size When we turn off the light. Red black or orange, Yellow or white We all look the same When we turn off the light. So maybe the way To make everything right Is for God to just reach out And turn off the light! And another one i thought of, but don't remember who said it, Experience is the hardest teacher, she gives the tests first and teaches the lessons later.
