the best description I have read about *manifest* is : to be put into the spot light ! To appear as if brought forth in a larger form ! Brought to fruitation !! God was manifest into man as Jesus.... When a prayer is manifest, it is brought forth and seen..... go in peace... God bless

Manifest here means "show itself". In what actions, speeches etc in the novel do you see their racism in action.
